Carolyn Ducey is Curator of Collections at the International Quilt Study Center & Museum at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She oversees new acquisitions and ongoing care of the museum’s collection. In this video, she talks about displaying fragile works such as those in the War & Pieced: The Annette Gero Collection of Quilts from Military Fabrics exhibit. Carolyn Ducey gives a lot of information about caring for quilts in just 6 minutes. The second half of this video is especially useful in regards taking care of your quilts in your home. I shared this with several quilt owners to help extend the life of their treasured quilts, particularly ones that are displayed regularly.
