The winners of the Cherrywood "Prince" Challenge have been announced and they are spectacular.

Participants were asked to use Prince's music as inspiration to push themselves creatively, think outside the box, and create new fiber art. The contest was open to anyone and they received entries from several countries. All the quilts were the same color, fabric, size and theme.

I’d love to see some of the rejected quilts! Are any for sale?

Amazing number of entries. So great to see what everyone comes up with using the specific colors. Would love to see these in person. Great work everyone who entered. Looking forward to trying again next year.

With over 388 quilts (some of us were rejected  ), it must have been an overwhelming challenge for the two judges. I'm always amazed at the creativity of the quilters in all of the fabric challenges. Kudos to all who contributed their 20"x20" quilts to the contest. They are all special.

I agree, they are all beautiful but my favorite two are # 2 and then # one.

I especially like the simplicity and cleverness of "Purple Reign."

I have to say -- they are all stunning, but frankly #2 or #3 should be #1.
