I had a sewing machine 50 years ago that had an attachment that fed and folded bias binding. I never used it much as it didn't allow for wide bias like this one. I still don't think I would use such a gadget--and I am a gadget person. Besides, I sold my Bernina 830. To much trouble with thread jams, etc. I actually enjoy putting binding on my quilts--first by machine and then doing the hand work on the back side.

I love my Berninas, fancy feet, rotary cutters and dozens of specialty rulers. But sometimes a pair of scissors and a bit of handwork are the quickest, easiest and best solutions. If I had to master this galumphing binding foot before I could finish a quilt all my projects would be UFO's!

Bought this expensive attachment and attempted to use following instructions. Unsuccessful with each attempt. Just sits taking up space. The Bernina “made to create”videos are not helpful because there is no sound and therefore no real instruction.
