The following is the account of the fire from the perspective of Ricky and Justin primarily via the text messages and photos that were exchanged. It is an abridged version but includes the most critical messages relating to the fire over several days. As of this posting, the fire has burned 107,967 acres and is 85% contained. There have been over 150 homes/structures destroyed and 100+ damaged.

Here is the mostly-unedited video of Ricky's first drive into the Yellowstone Creek Ranch fire zone going to Autumn Rock. As an FYI, the first two pieces of music Ricky composed and recorded in his new recording studio just two weeks before the fire. This video is 54 minutes. It is somewhat haunting, hypnotic, and mesmerizing.

Finally, here are images Ricky took in the fire zone, and other before/after images.

Thank you for sharing such personal conversations. And thanks to Toi as well.
What amazes me in the photos is the randomness of trees that appear to have survived.

So many 'why' and 'what if' questions must be whirring round your heads but just know that your friends here in the U.K are thinking of you both and giving thanks for your amazing escape. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you here at the Festival of Quilts next month.

In spite of all the devastation, there is a hauntingly eerie beauty in these scenes. I hope there will be a sense of renewal in your surroundings for you both, as nature has it's way of making sure we go on. Peace....

Please let us know what kind of donations can be made to help with the healing (trees, fabric, $$$). The images are hauntingly beautiful but I know it’s devastating to everyone in the area. Hugs to you and Justin.

OMG what an awsome film knowing as you look thru it that you will see how his house was saved. The music was realy good. I think this should be shown to as many people as it can be. I cried.

Between the photos and text accounts one gets as close to the 'action' as one would need to be. Thanks for the perspectives. How remarkable and blessed that on your property, your home was saved and no one was physically hurt. Thanks be to God.
