While there might be a sailing ship or a flower or two, Beckey Prior's take on a Baltimore Album quilt is a bit unusual...how about an octopus, a corset, and a submarine? What's the most unusual thing you've seen on a Baltimore Album quilt?

Enjoy, "Extraneous Female: Escapement Mechanism" by Beckey Prior of Henderson, TX.

I agree, beautiful work but wonder why the maker needed to change a time honored tradition of Baltimore Album quilts. Perhaps making an original quilt entirely would have been best in my opinion.

Dot, on Marziah Karch’s website she tells about Beckey asking her permission to use some blocks. You are correct that credit should always be given. Really interesting quilt.

Ha ha!! Looks like Baltimore Album morphed into another era. That's thinking outside the block!! Nice work.

It looks like the blocks were designed by Marziah Karch as a steampunk BOM a few years ago. If this is true, she should be credited here.
