In this case, it appears that Becky Goldsmith used her quilting to soften the sharpness of the points in the design.

Becky's quilt, Blue Bullseye, was exhibited at Spring Paducah 2018. Her techniques included Free-Motion Quilting, Foundation Piecing, Paper Piecing, and Machine Piecing. Her Design Source: Bullseye quilt, Glorious American Quilts: The Quilt Collection of the Museum of American Folk Art by Elizabeth V. Warren and Sharon L Eisenstat.

Really love your choice of fabrics for this quilt. Beautiful and super arrangement of colors, lights & darks. Masterful piecing!

When someone gets all the points so accurate--doesn 't make any difference what technique is used. It looks like a masterpiece to me.

anne1, Becky Goldsmith is a true quilt professional. She "knows how to do it", and does it so well. I agree this is one stunning, fabulous, amazing quilt. I love the traditional theme mixed with more modern overall feel. I think the major modern element is the gray background with traditional fabrics. Just love it!!!

Such a challenging design. Love your quilt.

It was paper pieced. Pieces did not need to be cut accurately. Just larger than size on paper, sewn and then trimmed to precision. I saw this quilt at mackinaw island seminar this year . Stunning

Great quilt but how did she cut all those triangles and other shapes, was it done with Aqucut?
I would not have the patience to make a quilt like this.
