TQS was "wowed" during its visit to the AQS quilt show in Phoenix, 2016. Flowering from Symphony of Colors, a Japanese exhibit, knocked our socks off. Sachiko Yoshida's subtle use of color and amazing handwork created an absolutely stunning piece of art.

I agree with Tinilou... A symphony of color and style executed with such grace. Love the blend of appliqué, embroidery and piece work. Bravo!!

I thought it was raw edge or frayed edge on the pieced blocks at first glance.
Until I saw the close up and was able to see how pretty the applique is.
What a shame that the beautiful applique gets lost in all the other things going on in that quilt. :(
