Chawne Kimber (pronounced "Shawn") is a professor of mathematics and an amazing interpreter of traditional quilts who also uses her chosen medium to express complicated ideas. She has become quite well-known in the world of modern quilting for her award-winning work and her blog, Completely Cauchy.

Chawne is also an expert on small piecing techniques (we are talking tiny).

Here she is at QuiltCon 2018 talking about her quilt, Bobby Dole's Blue Jeans.

What a gorgeous quilt! I love the way you put all different size pineapples in the same quit! It's wonderful and you should be so proud!

Loved Chawne's quilt shown here, plus all of her others that I've seen at the prior QuiltCon's. Saw her speak, and she was thoughtful and insightful on approaching quilts and art. Very much enjoyed her!!!

I've seen this several times in several folks feeds on the Gram and FB... every time, I am just so happy! Who doesn't love that color? Many years ago, I took some of Jane Hall's classes in foundation piecing - pineapples, are a specialty of hers... this also reminds me of her. Now I'm anxious to see the all blue version! Congratulations on making it on the wall at QuiltCon. You looked very happy, and you are so inspiring. Glad they made this video...

That is beautiful! I love pineapple quilts, but have only made a few blocks. With this inspiration maybe more will be in my future!
