Featured Artist: Thomas Danthony

We recently saw work by graphic artist Thomas Danthony. His work has appeared in posters, magazine covers, prints, and original pieces. Yes, blue is his favorite color, but we saw how his techniques of shading, coloring, and perspective could inspire quilters. Do you agree?

Wow! I just watched the interview with the Modern Quilt Guild gals. Does this tie in to MQG or what? I think this art work is tremendous and gorgeous.

I totally can see how this does appeal to quilters. The drawings are powerful with simple forms. It shows that more is not always better in getting an idea across. It is particularly useful in breaking down the complex world around us and seeing the actual elements that make it up
