The Quilt Alliance was wowed by this hand-quilted stunner, Elegance by Elsie Campbell, at this year's International Quilt Festival. It took her eight years of off-and-on work, while she finished writing three quilting books and making dozens of other quilts!

Whole cloth quilts have always been my favorite and I have completed several that were preprinted. My goal is to design my own whole cloth quilt. Congratulations to you, Elsie for designing and quilting such a beautiful piece. You are in inspiration!

Beautiful! I have a whole cloth quilted by my quilt group and I treasure it beyond all my others. It is hand quilted with stitches of love.

This is a true treasure. I wish I had the patience for hand quilting. Love my Statler Stitcher but I truly wish I could do this kind of handwork, as well. Brava!

I love that whole cloth quilts are coming back and are hand quilted. Not trying to denigrate machine quilting, by any means. Whole cloth, hand quilted quilts have always had a special place in my heart.
