Ayako Kawakami of Funabashi-shi, Chiba, Japan, made this quilt entitled Kirara's Garden Party. She writes that, "This is my sixth quilt for my daughter, Kirara, since she was born. I made this quilt with Crazy Log Cabins and added a lot of embroidery, beads, and ribbon. The garden party will begin with her and her dog." You'll want to look at every detail! We particularly love the heart details.

Ayako's quilt won The World of Beauty Award (a $7500 prize) at the Houston Quilt Festival 2017.

A true treasure for your daughter! When I look at this I see a lot of work, time and effort plus an unusual talent for reinvention. Great job, Ayako!

Beautiful! How do you find enough time in a day to make such a lovely piece? You must have scheduling secrets! Your daughter must love this...and you must really love your daughter!
