Vimeo support got back to us and showed us how to have you fix the iPad problem. Go to your "Gear" for Settings.
- Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Subtitles & Captioning > Closed Captions + SDH
- Set it to OFF
This did not work for one of our viewers. However, she found that this worked for her:

Well, I kept changing settings in the Accessibility area and I found something that worked. If I turn off Auto Brightness: Settings/General/ Accessibility/Display Accommodations, the video plays perfectly. The iPad Pro 10.5 and probably the new iPhones have something called True Tone displays. The Auto Brightness is ON by default and the screen adjusts automatically to the ambient light around the user. It is a very cool feature. I hope Vimeo will come up with a fix but until then I am very happy to be able to watch your shows on my iPad again!
