The quilts at AQS Paducah Spring 2017 seemed overwhelmingly great. Many quilts that caught our eye were not award winners, but we thought they certainly could be. For example, this hand quilted piece by Linda Roy; we loved it and thought it was award worthy, but it did not win a ribbon at Paducah. Well, Linda's quilt, Aztec Sunset, came back and won Best of Show at AQS Lancaster 2017. We thought so, Linda.

I love hand quilting, I never understood why people machine quilt. For me it's the hand work that shows the love, but that's just me and what I like.
This quilt wow' me so much, it is truly a work of art, dedication and shows her love for the craft.

Beautiful ❤️

Her choice of fabrics made the design really stand out, especially the stripe with gold.

this is not quite perfect. in fact, it looks like it was made by a real artist. I am tired of award winning quilts that are technically difficult to make, with not so great
design and often strange colour choices but took a zillion months to make. And look like they were made in a factory. I love the way this quilt sings, it is alive. thank you so much for showcasing it. and please more quilts that YOU like.
