"It Took 2 1/2 Years to Complete This Quilt" - Antonia Hering

Antonia Hering of The Netherlands displayed her quilt "Inveraray, a True Scottish Treasure" at Houston 2016. This quilt used hand piecing, appliqué, embroidery, embellishment and quilting. The sign at the bottom tells the story. I haven't yet been to Inveraray, but this quilt is a treasure!

Absolutely beautiful. Hope you sent a photo to the caretakers of Inverary Castle - I'm sure they would be delighted to see such spectacular handwork.

I have been to Inverary as well. Of course I saw the armor on the wall, but failed to see the ceiling. Good eye and beautiful quilt.
