Trailride by Charlotte Warr Andersen
18.5” x 24” (47cm x 61cm)
Made in 2003
Ricky won Trailride by Charlotte Warr Andersen at a silent auction. It was made for the Miniature Auction benefitting the International Quilt Association. The silent auction is held each year at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX. Benefit auctions at shows, guilds, and museums are great places to add to your own quilt collection. It’s a win-win situation. You win a quilt and the organization gets much needed funding.
Trailride features hand appliqué and machine quilting.
Charlotte joined Georgia Bonesteel at a Dude Ranch Quilt Retreat and invited Ricky and Alex in Show 1209--
Love these miniature quilts? Why not participate in the International Miniature Quilt Exchange (IMQE) here at TQS? The purpose of the IMQE is to promote quilting across borders and cultures. The project allows two-member teams to communicate and connect with each other. Teams will then have the opportunity to participate in a juried exhibition which will premiere at the International Quilt Festival in Houston during the Fall of 2018.

Looking at it brings back to me the smell of horse, leather, and pine trees. Things that I haven't smelled in many years but were so much a part of my life in the past.
Thanks so much for sharing, and thanks for bringing back the memories of times gone by.
