On Friday we showed you Jen of Shabby Fabrics take on an iPad cover. Here's another tutorial which uses more of a "quilt-as-you-go" method. It requires a single fat quarter, a bit of batting, and a few fabric strips. You can finish this project in no time at all.

Thank you fro showing a way to make a neat end piece to the binding.
It was so well worth watching this to learn this procedure to the binding. Thank you again!

I agree, but I also think this is a great tutorial for a beginning quilter who may be intimidated by the measuring process. It's a very fast process if you've got lots of small scraps or ends of strips sets left from other projects. I like that they showed a simple binding method but referred the sewer to their site for info on mitering corners.

:-) Very clear directions for learners and folks who need detailed instructions. I like to make fabric from scraps and salvage strips. This is a good way to use them and you don't feel like you're being wasteful.

You sure cut away a lot of fabric, and did some unnecessary sewing!
