David Taylor said he wanted to sell this quilt. Alex told him he shouldn't. He said he wanted to. Alex then said that if he was going to sell it, he had to sell it to her. "Sally at the Window" is an amazing work. The light and shadow remind Capt'n John of the work of Edward Hopper (see below). The quilting is fantastic and the movement he gets in the brick sidewalk always draws attention.

I saw the quilt "in person" and it is one of the favorites of all the art quilts I have seen. I am thrilled Alex has it! Great first choice, Alex.

Well, these are two of my favorite pieces! David Taylor's piece is fantastic. Love his work. The shadows make the quilt. Hopper's painting has been one of my favorites for years....the mood it captures, the colors used. Thanks for sharing!

This is really interesting since Edward Hopper is a relative of mine. Edward was a distant cousin My maiden name is Hopper
