Australian children’s book author Claire Saxby has delighted children for many years with stories and poems that span a wide range of topics. My Name is Lizzie Flynn, published in 2015, is a picture book about a convict girl traveling to Australia in 1841 and about the making of the Rajah quilt. The moving story and beautiful illustrations by Lizzy Newcomb bring this interesting story to life in a manner that is understandable for a young reader.
TQS has two signed copies of Ms. Saxby's book that are available for you to win. Enter your name and e-mail below by September 5, 9 pm PST. On September 6, 2106, TQS will draw two names by random to win a copy of the book.
Well done in bringing it to light.
