This is a time-lapse video using 83 photos of a wood quilt as it was created by Fraser Smith. It was made between September 2011 and February 2012. If you have ever seen one of Fraser's works, you will be astounded at what it takes to create a single quilt and by how realistic it looks.  See the finished quilt below.

I love his work. Fraser Smith has a website that shows a lot of his work. He had a piece entered in ART PRIZE in Grand Rapids last year or the year before. I hope he enters a piece again, as this year I live in Michigan and plan to attend. He also has a few pieces in some art galleries. Amazing work.

Thank you for allowing those of us not so fortunate to go to Paducah to see Mr Fraser's amazing work!

Did Fraser Smith create the wood quilt that "hangs" in the National Quilt Museum in Padukah? It's amazing. I was expecting to see painted wood pieces set into a frame and thought the quilt I saw was covering the expected sight. It turned out that the covering was the wood quilt. That realistic!

I have no idea what I just saw. Is this a quilt? Or a  table that looks like a quilt? Or something in between?
