Heather, thank you for sharing your story and your quilt. I lost my younger sister last October. I used making a quilt to cope with the loss too. May God bless your family richly.

Thank you for sharing your story, Heather. I can relate to your experience. I started quilting after my first child was stillborn in 1995, and it really helped me process my grief after that loss, and two subsequent miscarriages. I went on to have two healthy children, now teenagers, but the previous losses are still with me, interwoven into my life. I have found quilting to be therapeutic in difficult times, as you have. Your quilt is beautiful! Keep it up! Congratulations and best wishes to you and your family.

Your story is certainly inspirational and I can relate. I lost my husband suddenly 7 years ago and still deal with his lost. I was told by the therapist to try something new so I started quilting. Still learning so much but I have met so may wonderful quilters and the craft really keeps me busy and challenged especially at night which is the hardest time for me! Thank you for sharing.

:-) I agree. Quilting is "healing". I have found this in my own life. It is also "stress relieving". Thank you for sharing.
