Our current road trip has been a real adventure, which you can follow on our You Tube Channel, The Quilt Roadies. I have been making sure to get regular quilt breaks in as we venture forth!  Combining the travel with quilting has made me less homesick for my sewing room...and girlfriends :)

The stop in Temecula, at the Temecula Quilt Company, which you can view on www.wooliemammoth.blogspot.com, was fabulous!

How lucky we are that Lisa Bongean, of Primitive Gatherings, decided to open a second shop in California!  Having been a mail order customer of her shop in Wisconsin for years, I was really looking forward to the Quilt Roadies trip taking me to the shop in Murrieta. Talk about the Quilter's Disneyland!!! To actually see all the samples in person is the same feeling you get at a quilt show...photos never do them justice! Dru is the store manager and is a delight! They are very knowledgeable about all the products in the shop and we were lucky enough to have a customer show up with her latest creation. Barbara, finished this top in a month!!! (Now why can't I do that?!!!)

One of the retreats I am adding to my calendar is planned by Primitive Gatherings California, at the Vina Lestonnac Retreat Center or "The Nunnery" for short. It looks like a wonderful place for a group of quilters to hang out!!!

Enjoy the slide show and we'll see you next Wednesday!

I can't believe you got out of that store with as little as you did buy! What a store! I saw at least three items I HAVE to have.

Great photos Anna, I've never made it to either store, but been to their booth in Houston and ordered online. Love the splashes of modern prints scattered about. I need to get there!
