Chromecast is a $35 dongle, which is a small device that attaches to your HDTV, and lets your TV connect to the internet using your phone, tablet or laptop.  This means you can watch the TQS Shows on your BIG screen!

The Tutorial reviews the basics of what you need on hand to use Chromecast, as it will connect to your home network.

Then, here's some great information for setting up your computer. (You'll need the Chromecast Browser and Chromecast App.)

Once you "cast the tab,"  you can play the show and expand to full screen.

I have Roku and would love to know how to set TQS to play on my TV with Roku. Anyone know how to do this?
Thank you!

I am able to watch TQS on my tv using my iPad and Apple box. No idea how this happens--all my electronics are set up by my priceless son-in-law. I just select the show I want to watch on my iPad and then click on the tiny button to the left of the picture-expandi ng button at the bottom of the screen to redirect from the iPad to the tv (with the tv and set top box on, obviously), press the start arrow on the iPad display and "le Viola!" As Julia Child used to say in her pigeon French. Oh, and don't forget to tap the top of the tv 3 times with your magic wand.

Thanks for these technical videos. I did not know how to do either of these and my kids have moved out so I lost my handy IT support!

If you have a smart TV with a browser you can use that too

I got a chrome cast for christmas from my husband. It is wonderful and easy to use. He set it up for me. Such a nice gift of support for me and my TQS obsession.

Can you use the Roku instead of Chromecast and is the set up the same?

I have a Chromecast. How do I use it to cast The Quilt Show? Is it through Netflix, UTube, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or another app?

I've been watching The Quilt Show for years from my Mac and iPad using AirPlay to a little device called an Apple TV connected to my TV.
