This Quilt Really Struck Alex On the Set at Taping

While taping a show in Denver, this quilt really spoke to Alex about friendship. As you can see there is a lot to catch Alex's eye.

It is called Joy is a Special Friend and was created by Lois Podolny for her dear friend, Nancy Arseneault, as a reflection of all of the fun they've had together through the years.

We'd like to begin 2020 by thanking all of our TQS Members for all the joy and fun they've brought to us as well.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Love this quilt, there is always something new to see everytime you look at it. Colorful and fun, something out of the ordinary!

It's a STORY quilt. Wish you could hear all the stories behind all the busyness of this quilt. Apples because our relationship solidified through email on our computers.
Embroidered nicknames & places where we have traveled to quilt shows & workshops. Nicknames, mini-quilts to represent the types of quilts we each like to make. I was moved to receive this quilt as a gift (so many hand applied embellishments that it must weigh 40 pounds!) and it hangs proudly in my studio to remind me each day how lucky I am to have such a talented and generous special friend.
