The larger tins make a nice portable sewing kit or even a first aid kit.

Thank you for the demo. I have used tins for travel accessories & I glued a couple of yo yos to the top

How about decoupaging some of the wool on the tin cover?
You would get rid of the ugly logo.

Great Idea and perfect to take to "make it -take it" classes or mini workshops. So quick and easy to do. I am making one to keep in my purse as an emergency sewing kit as well. I do like Altoids and always have a tin of them in my bag, so what is one more! ;o) Thanks so much for sharing this great tip.
