Congratulations to three TQS members, geoquilter, featheredstar, and mkdquilts, who have made it to the final round in the McCall's Quilt Design Star contest. They were asked to create a complete quilt from start to finish based on their original design entries into the contest. They were given approximately 4 weeks to do this (over the Christmas holidays).
Each challenge round is judged by a panel as well as you, the quilting public. You'll have a tough time deciding as there are some really spectacular quilts in the final round. Voting has begun for this round and is wrapping up at 1am on February 3rd, 2011. You can vote daily until then. Click here to vote for your favorite.

With Alex and Ricky on the road to Africa (or is that on the plane, train, and boat?), we thought we'd share a fun video of quilter's license plates. Some of you might remember that this all began in the Road to California parking lot last year and expanded when TQS asked its members to share their license plates. Once again showing that creativity has no bounds, we present Quilters Hit the Road.
Some of you wondered where to sign up for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Triangles Exchange. Over 202 quilters have signed up already!

We are working on a method for making updates to the exchange easier to find. Stay tuned.
Just who are these happy quilters? They are members of TQS meeting up in the Superior Threads booth at Road to California in Ontario, CA. Were you there?
