Harumi made this quilt for ther granddaughter's birthday.  She was happy because her son had a girl and she had brought up boys.  Harumi drew the spool pattern and printed photos of her grandaughter which are included in the quilt along with her growth record.  Happy Birthday is machine pieced and hand appliqued and hand quilted.
