You can learn how to paint your own sewing machine using Clare's video - How to Paint Your Sewing Machine Instructional DVD available from www.creativefeet.com.
Clare began painting sewing machines as a response to a large company trying to hurt her company back in 1989. An article was written back then about it called "Never Cross A Creative Woman" and she's continued to paint sewing machines as her calling card ever since. In all Clare has painted over 25 sewing machines, several on her How to Paint Your Sewing Machine Instructional DVD. She's included shots of each machine for everyone's viewing pleasure including her first machine.
Clare makes sure you're aware of all that you could do to damage the machine and helps you to avoid these situations. She finds it fun and especially satisfying to take an old 'long since fallen out of warranty" machine and making it shiny and new. The only problem she's ever had with painting causing issues with sewing was by adhering rhinestones on the bed of the machine where the fabric slides underneath the foot.
So, get out your paints and crank up your creativity; ff you are looking to have fun and paint an amazing work of art on your sewing machine than this is for you!
