It had to happen one day. For the first time in 37 years, the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show was "rained out." Around 2pm, the skies opened up and the rain poured down. Volunteers came out of the woodwork to help and business owners let them pile the quilts in their stores until they could be collected. Every single quilt was accounted for, some were a little damp, but all’s well that end’s well.
Unfortunately, the quilt show did lose about 3 hours worth of quilt sales and raffle tickets, money that is used to help pay for the show. They are asking for help to make up the shortfall through memberships or donations to Sisters Quilt Show - Friends of the Show.
In the meantime, take a look at some of the preparation that goes into the show and catch glimpse of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show itself.
