We've heard from our Grand Prize Winner, Ruth Perkins, about the exciting delivery of her brand new BERNINA 550 QE.  Here's what Ruth had to say,

I wanted to send you an update.

I was able to pick up the BERNINA 550 QE
last Thursday -it was great fun to track it's moves from the midwest to
Tacoma! I had a bit of a delay when it was plugged in and just hummed at
me. Very easy fix- it was the bobbin winder that had gotten bumped when
taken out of the box. Oh well, just like all new items, it takes a bit of
time to get to know it and the staff at the shop were well familiar with
this, so I was up and running in no time.

I have been working with it this weekend. It is great fun taking a basket
of quilt squares and put them together. This was much faster than
starting a new project and I was anxious to just get going. It sews
beautifully! I love the light source!!! I have become well acquainted
with the BERNINA websites that are provided for the 550 and the
accessories, the tutorials are especially clear and easy to understand.

I am still in awe in winning such a wonderful gift. I feel truly blessed.
Thank you to BERNINA USA and especially The Quilt Show for providing its
members with contests, entertainment, education, and the shared love of
Quilting. It was the first online website I subscribed to and I look
forward to many years to follow!
