Have you always wondered how you get clean up your stash, your UFOs, and your extra supplies, while helping someone in need? Here is your opportunity.
In May 2011, a second iteration of IB♥L3D (Iraqi Bundles of Love) will be under way. Managed by Art La Flamme, IB♥L3D is a program designed to get supplies where they are needed in Iraq.
What do they need? They need fabric, sewing supplies, UFOs, basically any type of raw sewing materials that can be used to make something by hand or machine.
Simple fabric is good. Stripes work, too. Scissors are OK. Ditto for needles -- yes, knitting needles, too. Fabric is far more likely to be used for clothing than for quilting, but that's not an absolute. To see more details about what to send, click here.
Basically a bundle consists of a large, flat rate to APO box (they cost $12.50) filled with fabrics and supplies. There is a specific way to pack the box, click here for details.
To participate in the program, you'll need to go to the Iraqi Bundles of Love website and leave a comment, click here to go to the website.
