Just heading out the door at the De Young Museum in San Francisco is Amish Abstractions - Quilts from the collection of Faith and Stephen Brown. You won't want to miss this amazing exhibit which features 48 Amish quilts dating from the 1880s through the 1940s. The exhibit runs through June 6, 2010. For more information, click here.
And recently opening at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles are Hawaii's Alfred Shaheen: Fabric to Fashion, Grand Appliqué: Hawaiian Quilts, and Wendeanne Ke'aka Stitt: Contemporary Kapa.
