Sometimes it pays to comment - keep reading.

Ricky here. Twas I that created the "Caption This" blog with Moonshine Man. What great creative minds you have - so once again, I won't listen to you when you say, "I'm not creative!" Yes you are!

For quilt patterns, the clear favorite was Drunkard's Path, but some other creative answers were: Country Cousins, Delectable Mountains, and Streak of Lightning. They were all great! Thanks for your fun comments.

My favorite caption was by suzmax, "I'm gonna wash my hair right out of that man!"

Next, for creativity, I liked Wren1010's caption and block choice: Lets all do our best George Jones imitation and sing:
Well in North Carolina, way back in the hills
Me and my old pappy had a hand in a still
We brewed white lightnin' 'til the sun went down
Then he'd fill him a jug and he'd pass it around
Mighty, mighty pleasin, pappy's corn squeezin' Whshhhoooh . . . white lightnin'..."

She said, "Looks like Justin tipped (tippled) that jug one too many times! And the quilt would be "Streak of Lightning."

But the mystery person was guessed by only two people - It's Jeff. Some of you may say, "Jeff Who?" Jeff who is our Best Boy (for lack of a better title), Needs-a-date Jeff, Jeff who played didgeridoo and sang in the Christmas Concert (Dec, 25, 2008 blog post). Jeff works full time for Ricky Tims Inc, but migrates over to ARJJ from time to time.

One person had the total package: caption, correct answer, and a quilt suggestion. So, the 1st place winner of my "Caption This" contest with Moonshine Man Jeff is florence, because she not only got Jeff correct, but she had a VERY creative caption and quilt block choice: I'll say it's Jeff. Caption: "Who? Me? Someone wants a date? I need some liquid courage! Quilt: Old Maid's Puzzle!!"

Thanks for playing. I'm sending a bag of Ricky Tims' hand-dyed scraps to suzmax, Wren1010 and Florence - It pays to comment!!!

You never know when a blog will become a secret contest. Did anyone notice the "pipe" was a spoon and a spool of thread?
