I left market a day early to enjoy an event hosted by the historical society in Livermore. About 10 homes were open for a walking tour - the homes are all documented from the 1800's and have rich Livermore history. My parents live in a little victorian cottage (which they restored many years ago) and their yard was chosen for the wine tasting, lemonade, water and treat station. After my friend and I visted the homes on the tour we hung out there for several hours catching up with Livermorons (yes, that is what we call ourselves) - it was like a mini city reunion. Mom and Dad have spent months cleaning up their yard and topped it off with quilts. Quilts dress up any event.
