Today's Zoom quilt is Four Square by Tim Nash of Houston Texas. it was created using a longarm machine and was inspired by Linda V. Taylor's 2012 class at Quilt Festival, "Beginning Longarm Quilting."
Artist's Statement: Originally intended as a practice piece for feathered borders, this project began with no planning and no design. After finishing the top row of feathers, I spend a a month drawing different designs for the four quadrants and used many patterns and techniques learned at Linda Taylor's beginning longarm quilting class at the 2012 Quilt Festival. To finish, I had to remember how I stitched the feathers, now hidden on the machine's take-up bar.
