We're opening up an early episode this weekend featuring Mary Fisher, quilt artist, author, and AIDS activist. As an ambassador for the United Nations AIDS program, she discusses how she uses her art to raise awareness about the impact of AIDS, especially on women.
In this episode she demonstrates unique ways of creating original fabric with stamps and block printing. These techniques are included in her African-themed quilts from her book, Abataka.
