Width of the bias binding

hi. In month one on page 4. The instructions comment that Lynette uses 2 widths of bias. I am not clear from the instructions what the finished width of each piece of bias is. Can anyone please advise. Cheers

On page 8, the trunk is 3/8" wide, and the branches are1/4" wide.
