Wendy...hope this works.  The city was cut from a piece of Millenium ..(where's spell check when you need it ?! ) Fabric

Well, wish I'd bought more....There were stripes of skylines from major cities here , Seattle, Chicago, L.A., Others I'm not

sure of and New York with the twin towers !!  Anyway, piece is appliqued down and ric-rac is top stitched over.   Pink ,

of course , carried over from Maureen's quilt.

Lorna, thanks for the explanation. I have heard of that type of challenge. I went to the link to see the progression and all the quilts are beautiful. Interesting how the arch got lost and then came back.

"The group appears to be a challenge group, but what's the background on the name "Chinese Whispers"?" Kathy, remember the game "telephone" or "gossip" . It works the same way but instead of whispering the message in the next person's ear to pass along, Maureen started with a photo and made a quilt and passed the quilt along to the next person. That person then sent their quilt to the next person. So only the first person saw the original photo and each person only saw the one quilt sent to them by. AND no discussions of what we saw or what we worked on. Hence the 17 pages of discussion on anything BUT the CW challenge.

Oh ! and I colored it a bit to give light to the windows ! I was pretending it was the big city in Maureen's quilt !
