It has been said that quilters and chocolate go hand in hand. Join us for a visit to the home and studio of Emily Meier, a quilter who loves the color brown and shows that it can be both rich, luscious, AND sophisticated...plus, there are no calories!

Emily, who learned to quilt 16 years ago at the trained hands of her mother, has always loved the color brown. It wasn't until she visited Japan on two separate occasions, however, that her love for the subtle colors and design aesthetic took hold in a big way. She has even carried her affinity for brown throughout her home decor. What she quickly realized is that brown comes in many different variations, and she explores the whole range, while inserting very subtle shades of other colors. The overall effect is a home rich in  Japanese overtones and sophisticated appeal. Who knew that brown could be so evocative?
