From Every Corner by TQS member highplainsquilter
Last fall, shortly after we featured Edyta Sitar (Episode 802), who would ever have imagined that little bits of fabric would travel around the globe to become a part of so many stunning quilts. Spurred on by Edyta and her love of scrap quilts and her suggestion to share half square triangles with friends, the Sisterhood of The Traveling Triangles was created by the TQS members themselves. Once the rules were set there were 560 participants that exchanged 224,359 half-square triangles from all across the globe. A number of members felt that this monumentous venture needed to be recorded for posterity.
And so...the HSST book project began. TQS member CMOELLERS is working on creating a book and DVD to document the process. Anyone who wanted to share their own HST Exchange project was and is still welcome to be included. The final deadline for entry is not until January 1, 2012. To give us a sneak peek, CMOELLERS has created a slide show of submissions she has received so far. So, if you still have your HSSTs it's not too late to get your submission included in this one of a kind rememberance.
