Capt'n John and his brother Jim took Mom to Spring Training to see her beloved Angels baseball team. While there we went to see the plants of the Desert at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. As some of our members noted last week, we were surprised to find that Chihuly had spread his glass throughout the Garden.
Not only were we surprised by the glass, but the shapes, variety and flowers of the desert plants were fascinating. If you get a chance to see this in person, the show can be seen during the day and lit up at night. The exhibit is through May 31, 2009. It's worth the trip.
Like quilts displayed outside, it brings a whole new perspective to the art. Ricky plays "If I Were Love" from his Heart and Soul CD.
