Alex and Ricky enjoyed the talents of the irrepressible Mark Lipinski on the set of Show 1813: Quilts of Valor and Intent.

Mark talks about making Quilts of Valor and recounts how he met the Vietnam Vet whose remembrance bracelet he wore in the 70s. Having held many jobs in the quilting industry, he discusses magazine publishing, online show hosting and participation in many quilt-related projects. He candidly talks about his loss of enthusiasm for quilting and how he gained it back via a more mindful perspective, which he learned from the Slow Food movement. Since Mark "lost" a quilt for six years, he also talks about the importance of documenting quilts and shares an easy way to label a quilt in the form of a letter. He is currently working on his life legacy quilt blocks, a work in progress that captures the big moments in his life.

Show 1813 debuts Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Can the commentary lines be expanded so we can read more than the first line of description for that slide on Smilebox?

Thank you for your comment as that is a very good question. Are you looking at the Smilebox at full screen. What happens is that we only have so much room to add comments, therefore when it goes to two rows, it does make the font smaller and a little harder to read.

Thank you.
