Insane About Baltimore - Miniature Quilt. Blocks measure 4" finished, with tiny buttonhole-stitched pieces.

Limoux Market Day - This is an improvisationally pieced modern quilt. Most of the fabric is scraps from my stash of Provençal fabric plus a background fabric purchased specially for this quilt. It was made to hang in the cottage.

Double Dare - I chose DARE as my touchstone word for 2014, then quilted my intention in this quilt. My first attempt at improvisationally piecing the letters was muddled, so I sliced it in half and used it in the background of the second effort, hence the name Double Dare.

Makin Life with Make Life - This is my first pieced quilt. I'm proud to say I enetered our local quilt show and won a Viewers Choice

Coming home - This quilt was made using a photo from our recent cruise.The challenge was to use a small piece of salmon coloured fabric.It is raw edge appliquéd & quilted with some hand painting.

Eye see Galaxies - This is called Eye see Galaxies because I've included 2 print outs of myDigital Retinal Scan from my Optometrist.Can you find them?The rest is mainly paper pieced except for 4 circles that I've hand painted.

Cala Lilies - I painted my daughter's favorite flower - cala lillies and then quilted the hanging. I hand sewed beads on the flowers and on the sashing of the quilt. It was my first painted quilt. There were many more requests for hand paint quilts from her.

Bloom - When I joined a round robin, I made two "starter" packages. One was sent on and became my round robin quilt. I kept the other and designed a quilt of my own using the the starter block and fabrics–it became Bloom.

Just Stiitching # 4 - Used my sewing machine stitches on stabilized fabric, added batting and backing and quilted. Then added beads where I thought they should be. It was fun. Easy to do. Did the beading while watching TV. Loved doing and Love the finished quilt

Leaves In The Wind - This quilt began as a design exercise in an Art Quilt class. Each leaf is separately fused in place and the leaf veins satin stitched.

Fiesta! Celebrate! - This was a "Wild" Challenge quilt for the Fraser Valley Quilt show in 2013. The theme of the show was "Fabric Fiesta" so I thought of a wild party with streamers, confetti, fireworks, and bright colours as inspiration. I also included Libby Lehman's ribbon machine quilting design. Thank you, Libby.

Dancing in the Stars - The white fabric used in the middle of this quilt was pure white until I quilted the fabric with metallic thread before using it, in order to get sparkle into the quilt fabric. The white fabric around the edges is printed with holographic stars in order to add color. The circles are reminiscent of the whirring dervishes I saw in Turkey on a recent trip, hence the name, "Dancing in the Stars".

Frosty Winterland - This is a whole cloth journal quilt which was discharged, thread painted and beaded to depict icy trees in winter.

UFO - The original Lily block was made in a class with Ruth McDowell in 2000 and it sat as an orphan block until this year when I was determined to include it in a quilt. I made two more blocks, but I cheated, sorry Ruth, and appliqued them. Then it was time to figure out a composition.

None yet - Quilted with 2 battings and lots of colors of thread. No binding on the front. Facing on the back

kaleidoscope de Noël - Made from 100% coton ,and quilted with metalic thread, 100% coton batting, design made with EQ7 software

Swimming with the Sturgeons - I designed this quilt for my nephew who is an avid sturgeon fisherman. I researched the type of sturgeon he fishes for and designed appliques to look like White Sturgeon.

Sweet Love - I miniaturized Mimi Dietrich's Hugs & Kisses pattern for a 36" square quilt found in Fon's & Porter's magazine. The center is button Hole stitched and the border is needle turn applique. The quilt is the square you see photographed in the center of a sheet of white paper with green border.
