Balenkay - Balenkay is made with elongated New York Beauty blocks and dimensional curved flying geese blocks, also incorporating applique. The dimensional curved flying geese blocks are created in part by making dimensional flying geese and using my manipulated bias method. Moda's Porto Bello Market line of fabrics were used. Balenkay was featured in McCall's magazine as part of a bio piece.
Celebrating 65 Years of Marriage - Features wedding pictures of all 5 siblings in addition to my parents. In addition, each family created a block that expressed their family, and I embroidered a block commemorating the occasion.
Lost in Space Debris - Whimsical idea based on former NASA contact memories and recent spaceship excursions. The spaceship has "USA" and "NASA" penned on it.
David'sCrazyQuilt - Quilt was assembled using the flip and sew method of crazy quilting, and with a variety of decorative stitches using various weights of rayon, holoshimmer, and metallic threads.
Forty the Cat Loves Quilts - I used this easy tablerunner to practice freehand feathers and quilting using my Bernina 730 embroidery module. The embroidery pattern was a OESD Diane Gaudynski design.
Grandma Myrtle's Stamp Quilt - This is a copy of a quilt my Grandmother made in the 1940s - I used 1 inch finished squares rather than her original 1-1/2 inch finished squares.
Earth from the Moon - Adapted from a NASA photograph of the earth from the moon. Quilt is 54-1/2" square, made with Michael Miller glow-in-the-dark white background, appliqued spokes and shuttle, and swarovski crystals,
Spectrum Blessings - Made from a birthday gift from my son of 50 fat quarters - gotta love that kid! - in honor of the blessing ceremony for Andrew and Eric.
GingkoLeafs&BlueBalls - On-point design using Michael Miller glow-in-the-dark white fabric, Kaufman oriental design for the applique. Machine-stitched with Sulky Holoshimmer Silver and Blue; block outlined with Clover silver bias tape.
First Great Grandchild - My first grandson sent me this photo of his wife and newborn, my first great grandchild. It was the perfect occasion for this quilt technique.
Gustavus Windows - Made for daughter Kate's graduation from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter MN. Design is based on the windows of Christ Chapel on the Gustavus campus.

The Nativity - This was a fun project that I did with my daughters. We had the coloring book picture blown up big and cut it into 6 pieces. We each made 2 sections with our own techniques and fabrics. I then put them together and quilted it. I am happy to have two quilting daughters!
the back of Rhombi in the Rhombus - I used Renae's Rays to mark the back of the quilt Rhombi in the Rhombus and quilted it from the back as a whole cloth quilting exercise.
Rhombi in the Rhombus - Constructed in a workshop with Sandi Cummings using square in a square blocks in combination with transition blocks to make a modern quilt based on a traditional pattern. The quilt was quilted from the back on my voyager longarm using Renae's Rays marking tools.
