Butterflies for Hanh - Made the quilt for my Nephew's new baby girl (bought some butterfly prints off of eBay). Then I got a pattern for booties from the Etsy store (PreciousPatterns) and my daughter and I made booties while staying in a remote cabin in the woods. They turned out wonderfully!

Cranes - This quilt really came alive with the appliqued cranes flying this way and that. I added pieces to the various birds so as to extend them beyond their piece, as well as adding whole birds scattered over the surface. The quilt makes me think of birds flying over the world-water, land, lush greenery. My longarm quilter did a wonderful job and designed a vine pattern that used wings as leaves and quilted this meandering vine all around the birds, somewhat like a wind or water pattern. Really wonderful! :-)

My Patriotic Quilt - A combination of classic blocks, done with patriotic fabrics.

pinwheel quilt - My quilt is very, very similar to the one in Darlene Zimmerman's book - Fat Quarter Small Quilts. I just loved it in the book and I love it in person. I already had the 30s fabrics so it went together easily. It's small - only 21 x 25 inches and I'll probably let my daughters use it for their baby dolls.

Africa - I wanted to a small quilt using the fabrics that reminded me of Africa; thus, the name of this mini quilt Africa. I found the Art Block pattern by Jinny Beyer and it seemed to work well for my purpose.

Worship - Small Mini Art Quilt made from a piece of fabric with African design placed on point. Hemp is used for texture along with swarovski crystals.

9 Patch & Buttons - This quilt is a basic 9 patch with small print florals. Buttons were used to tie the quilt.

Froggy Bear Rag Quilt - Child's rag style quilt made of fleece and shaped like a bear. Machine pieced and quilted. Nose and eyes attached by hand.

Spice Meadows - This is a Block of the Month that I purchased a couple of years ago. I completed it this past winter and plan on using it in my bedroom for once. I've 'toned down' the purple berries a bit so they don't stand out as much.

Dare Quilt - Created for presentation to Dare Program Police Officers by the students they taught

The Twin Towers Quilt - Created to commemorate the tragedy of 911 and all those lost in the cowardly attack that terrible day.

The Pentagon Quilt - Created to comemmorate those who were lost on 911 at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Emergency Services of 911 - Designed and created to commemorate those heroes of 911 who rushed in when all others were rushing out.
