Design Source - Description | This quilt really came alive with the appliqued cranes flying this way and that. I added pieces to the various birds so as to extend them beyond their piece, as well as adding whole birds scattered over the surface. The quilt makes me think of birds flying over the world-water, land, lush greenery. My longarm quilter did a wonderful job and designed a vine pattern that used wings as leaves and quilted this meandering vine all around the birds, somewhat like a wind or water pattern. Really wonderful! :-) |
