Indy Gras2
Name of Maker: Susan Sebastian
Indy Gras2 - This is made to thank Tammy and her family, my husband;s cousins, for lodging us for the Indy 500 every year. The colors are traditional race colors with a Mardi Gras print thrown in since we bring crawfish each year and have an "Indy Gras" party before the Race each year. A second similar quilt was made for Tammy's sister, Terry, who lives right across the street.

Tulip Landscape
Name of Maker: Susan Sebastian
Tulip Landscape - Tulips were inspired by Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC. Solveig, my mentor, was teaching me how to do applique, log cabin, stencil and fractured landscape. I made one for myself and then this one for my best friend, Pat.
Name of Maker: FabricArtByKay
"Split OaK" Near Land Bridge Trail Head - Both halves of this “Split Oak” are still alive. It is near the Land Bridge Trailhead of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway in Ocala, FL. This is a section of the Florida National Scenic Trail to reach the Land Bridge that crosses Interstate 75 and is a safe passage for hikers, equestrians and bicyclists. I used the "Scribble Applique" technique Ricky teaches in the Super Quilt Seminar.
Blue & Yellow Welcome
Name of Maker: bostonterrierquilter
Blue & Yellow Welcome - Trip Around the World made of 3" strips, in blues and yellows, as a welcome to our house for our long-term renters.
Mathematica
Name of Maker: Elaine Poplin
Mathematica - Twisted Log Cabin blocks made with hand-dye fabrics and set in a commercial cotton (navy blue print). This was SO much fun to do, and I was completely driven to finish it quickly so the entire piece took 14 days to complete, from design to binding.
Sticks and Stones... I Love Orange
Name of Maker: Elaine Poplin
Sticks and Stones... I Love Orange - I tried to make a blue and green quilt for my husband. Couldn't do it. HAD to bring some orange into it. Challenged myself to use Fibonacci numbers as much as possible in the border widths, etc. Back of the quilt is entirely pieced with Fibonacci numbers.
Alice in Full Color
Name of Maker: Elaine Poplin
Alice in Full Color - I made 18 different blocks in two sizes using the Angle Play templates, and floated them on a blue background. This quilt was SO much fun to make. It lives on my youngest's bed and is perfect for her little whirling dervish personality.
Rainbow (short name)
Name of Maker: Elaine Poplin
Rainbow (short name) - Inspired by Dianne Hire's Quilt Play and Ricky Tims' Caveman Quilting techniques, I just improvised and had some fun. There are lots of seed beads on this quilt.
Peace Lily
Name of Maker: Elaine Poplin
Peace Lily - The Flower was made in a class with Barbara Olson in April, 2008. I auditioned about 15 backgrounds with it, and decided that the wonky frame was the best. Dedicated to the memory of my father-in-law, who died in November of 2008.
Out of the Box
Name of Maker: Mary Ramsey Keasler
Out of the Box - Original design made for a guild challenge, with the criteria being: use a specific batik fabric, 25 of some item and the Ohio star quilt block.
Spiderwort
Name of Maker: Mary Ramsey Keasler
Spiderwort - Seeing the tiny spiderwort blooms among their long, thin leaves, inspired this design. I loved the bright blue flowers and the masses of buds. Using my own photo, I sketched my design and made a pattern to be pieced.
My 2nd Quilt
Name of Maker: Darlene Staley
My 2nd Quilt - This is the second quilt I made using the book Start Quilting with Alex Anderson. I changed it a little adding some sashing around the blocks.
My First Quilt
