Love Is All You Need - In this quilt I used LOTS of Sulky Sliver threads, fabric markers, sparkly paints and even some lace. The peace sign is a rendering of my own hand - my right hand - I'm right-handed. Don't ask me why I didn't draw my left hand. I'd look at my hand, then pick up the pencil, then put it down and look again and so forth til I was finished. It never occurred to me to draw my left hand! The colours on my hand refer to the First Nations people here in central Canada. When they have a big celebration they will put a tiny sign depicting 4 stripes at the side of a grid road. These colours refer to the races of man - we are all invited. Instead of using delineated stripes, I let my colours blend into each other - we are all one people.
