Some Bunny Loves You
Name of Maker: Mary Ellen Adams
Some Bunny Loves You - This quilt was made for my niece and her first baby. The layout was from Darcy Ashton's "Grandma's Bunnies" booklet. I selected the blocks and fabrics. Sandi Wagner quilted it on her longarm machine. There are carrots quilted into the blue border.
Welcome to My Garden
Name of Maker: Mary Chamberlain
Welcome to My Garden - The Hexagons were fussy cut. Some hexagons were split, the black border was added and broderie perse motifs were hand appliqued to complete the flowers. The quilt was embellished with tiny yellow yo-yo's and beads. I quilted with a black iridescent thread.
Western Red & Blue
Name of Maker: Mary Chamberlain
Western Red & Blue - BQ's quilt blocks were redrafted to accommodate Anita Phillips "Back in the Saddle" panels.
First Birthday quilt
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
First Birthday quilt - I have always used patterns in making quilts. Since being at a quilt store with a friend and saw someone explaining the disapearing 9 patch block, I knew I wanted to make a quilt using that block. It was a lot of fun. I made the blocks out of scraps of childrens fabric and some solids and dots. etc... Took me awhile to decide what to do, but because the blocks were so bold and busy I set them in a calmer sashing. I think the borders bring out the primary colors in the quilt. I was pleased with the result.
Duckies in the water
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Duckies in the water - I like hand piecing and enjoy working on Kaleidoscope blocks when am away from home and need some hand work to take along. I set these together by machine into a blue backgroud that make it look like the duckies are swimming. At least that is the intention. The backing has little yellow duckies on a white background with blue bubbles.
Sweetie-Pie
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Sweetie-Pie - I love 30's reproductions and really liked the Feedsack Dot prints by Robert Kaufman. This seemed like the perfect quilt for a baby quilt for a close friend of daughter.
Baby Craze
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Baby Craze - Made of Flannel. Foundation pieced on Muslin. I had just purchased my new Pfaff and really enjoyed trying out all the new stitches on this quilt. It was a lot of fun and it is a very warm baby quilt. It was a gift for one of daughters mentors. The picture is only of 2 blocks that are in the quilt.
Twist
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Twist - I machine pieced and hand quilted this quilt. It was my second quilt (other than wall hangings and baby quilts) It was made for my daughter who picked out the pattern and the fabric. It took me about 2 years to complete.
Old Kentucky Home
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Old Kentucky Home - 1st quilt I made. Daughter picked out pattern (from ones I thought I could make) and fabric and helped design the quilt. Took me a year to make, hand piecing and hand quilting. I learned so much making this quilt. I thought at the time it was a great task. Now I look at the large pieces and think how quickly I could make it today. But I enjoyed every moment on the hand work.
Dougle Wedding Ring
Name of Maker: quiltendeb
Dougle Wedding Ring - I started out to make the Wedding Star quilt, however, DIL wanted a Traditional DWR Quilt, so I adapted this pattern by leaving out the star points.
Bird in the Hand
Name of Maker: jrebick
Bird in the Hand - I took a class from Jane Davilla. It was "Project Quilt". We were given challenges to complete in a small amount of time. For this challenge we were given a saying. I received a Bird in the Hand.... I traced my own hand and used raffia for the nest materials. Fabrics are my own hand dyes.
Monkey business
Name of Maker: Joan Lally
Monkey business - For new baby in family. Requested monkeys.
Hawaiian Star
Name of Maker: jrebick
Hawaiian Star - This was my second paper pieced quilt. After tearing out all the paper on my first I swore I'd never do it again. I saw this pattern on-line and couldn't resist. I was thrilled when it hung on the front of the Stitching Post during the annual Outdoor quilt show two years ago.
Sabine's Castle
Name of Maker: Joan Lally
Sabine's Castle - My Granddaughter is a princess to all of us so she wanted a castle. Asked Grandma for one and this is what I came up with.
White Star Quilt
Name of Maker: Brenda McAdam
White Star Quilt - Alex showed this quilt in vibrant colors in her book. I was working on technique and wanted to take color out of it. Every white is a different white motif. I like the all over whirl quilting, also shown in Alex's book.

"Fifteen Stars" - There were fifteen stars in the flag that inspired "The Star Spangled Banner," our beloved national anthem. I designed this quilt as a project for my daughter and me to make at a retreat. She wanted to make a quilt for her friend that is in the Army. A friend encouraged me to make a pattern of it to sell, which I did.
