Name of Maker: Jane Karhu Powers
"Morning Glory at Midnight" - This is a totally original design that I drew on freezer paper and hand appliqued to the green fabric and then to the blue background fabric. The purple, green, and binding fabrics are hand-dyed fabric by Ricky Tims. It was my first attempt at machine trapunto feathers. The lessons I learned from this quilt are numerous, mostly that I have a lot to learn on how to do certain techniques properly. I had trouble naming this quilt so I posted it on Facebook and my FB friends came up with the name. What an adventure!

Machine Paths
Name of Maker: rebyeby
Machine Paths - This was my very first attempt at machine quilting, done after reading Roberta Horton's book "Beyond Calico". which was very inspiring to my way of designing. Since it was just an experiment I started out with my walking foot quilting, quickly gave up, and changed to free form, and just decided to see what the sewing machine could do. It really turned me on to free form quilting, and I have been doing it ever since! I had never attended a class about it.

Animal Alphabet
Name of Maker: Cheryl Bishop-Bailey
Animal Alphabet - I fell in love with the Animal Alphabet fabric by Janet WeckerFrisch and used it to design a quilt for my great niece. It took me so long to make it that by the time I finished she had a new baby sister! Guess I'll just have to make another one. I had a lot of fabric left over so I used it to make the ruffled border.
