Mixed Up but Not Crazy Life - Made for my daughter for Christmas 2010. She loves earth-tones, but I added the turquoise pop for interest. This is the 3rd quilt I've made for her. She loves to be wrapped up in my love, and I love making quilts for her to use well!
None
Name of Maker: serin10
None - Unfinished - I want the quilting to look like ripples in water but I am not that good. The quilt was designed for a younger male cousin who had several old sailing prints in his room. (he's not so young now ...)

Jenny's Spain Quilt
Name of Maker: Rachel Richert
Jenny's Spain Quilt - I started this quilt wihile our daughter, Jen, was studying at University in Mercia, Spain. Jen helped me choose some of the fabrics. It was completed for her shortly after she returned to the United States to complete her studies. I extended the block pattern into the border to give it a sense of completion. Lots of half square triangles! So fun to piece. The machine quilting is exquisite. While Jen was living in New York City, her new apartment hatched bed bugs. Ugh! She had to take the quilt (and everthing else) to the laundry to be washed and dried on hot. I was glad I had prewashed all of the fabrics. It came out beautifully.
Bee Heaven
Name of Maker: Rachel Richert
Bee Heaven - I designed this quilt using all shirtings and homespuns. It is hand quilted in pearl cotton with the border being quilted in the path the bee would take. It was fun to make. I published a pattern for it and hung it above my fireplace.
Dragonfly Pond
Name of Maker: S. Anne Sidell
Dragonfly Pond - I used a basic Buggy Barn design, deleting the appliqued flowers and adding a piano key border of varying widths. I chose colors that reminded me of a tree-shaded pond in the summertime. This quilt fits my king bed.
Quilted casserole carrier
Name of Maker: Ch3ryl
Quilted casserole carrier - This casserole carrier is a SewBaby pattern. It is such a unique and fun item to make and to give as a gift. A non-quilting friend gave me a load of her fabric leftovers from various projects so, in return, I used some of that fabric and made her a casserole carrier. She was thrilled and couldn't wait to take it to her next coffee morning where she later reported everyone raved about it. Now they all want one.
Christmas Wreath
Name of Maker: Ch3ryl
Christmas Wreath - I have saved this old McCall's Quilting pattern for many years and am so pleased to have finally got around to making it to send to my Mother in time for Christmas this year. It is a traditionally pieced pattern which I converted to foundation piecing to make it easier to piece all of those tiny triangles.

Pigments of Imagination
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Pigments of Imagination - I made this for my #3 son-in-law. He loves tie dyed materials and hand dyes. The back of the quilt was tie-dyed and he likes that as much, if not better than the front!
Armchair Quarterback
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Armchair Quarterback - This was made for my #2 son-in-law. He is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. I made this pattern from my EQ6 software and bought the fabric while on vacation in Cheyenne Wyoming (Bronco Country) at The Quilted Corner.
Plaidly Marooned
Name of Maker: BjoLiz
Plaidly Marooned - I made this for my #1 son-in-law for Christmas.
Eye of Horus
Name of Maker: Mary Rapp
Eye of Horus - I used fabrics I had purchased for a quilt in memory of our Egypt trip in 2008 to embellish my first try using Ricky's pattern. The basic quilt looked bland, so I machine appliqued motifs cut from 2 different fabrics. The center did not go together well, so I appliqued the "Eye of Horus" over it, hence the name.
